• Coloration: Features a silvery-grey body with a delicate gold sheen and striking red fins with white extensions

Habitat and Care

• Water Temperature: Prefers water temperatures between 75°F to 78°F (23°C to 25°C)
• pH Level: Thrives in slightly acidic to neutral water, with a pH range of 6.5 to 7.5
• Tank Size: Requires a minimum tank size of 20 gallons, with additional space for each extra fish

Diet

• Omnivorous: Enjoys a varied diet of high-quality flakes or pellets, live or frozen foods like brine shrimp, daphnia, and bloodworms

Behavior

• Social: Peaceful shoaling species best kept in groups of 8 or more. Ideal tank mates include other small, peaceful fish such as tetras, danios, and Corydoras catfish

Breeding

• Egg-Scatterer: Breeds by scattering eggs in dense vegetation. Providing a well-planted tank can encourage breeding behavior
