Texture Shrimp Driftwood

Texture Shrimp Driftwood is a naturally textured wood piece that's ideal for freshwater aquariums, especially for shrimp and small aquatic creatures. Its porous surface encourages biofilm growth, providing a natural food source, while also offering hiding spots and foraging surfaces.

Approx Sizes -

X -SMALL  5" -6"

SMALL  7"-9.75"

MEDIUM 10"-14"

LARGE 14.1" -19.5"

X-LARGE 19.5" -23.6"

We strongly recommend boiling all aquarium wood for 30–60 minutes prior to placing it into your tank.

Boiling helps to:

  • Remove excess tannins to reduce water discoloration.
  • Eliminate potential pathogens, such as bacteria or parasites that may be present on natural wood.
  • Fully saturate and sink the wood, preventing floating in the tank.
  • Reduce the risk of fungus growth during the first few weeks underwater.

Because wood is a natural product, variations in colour, shape, and tannin release are normal. Some pieces may still release mild tannins over time, which is safe and beneficial for many freshwater species.
